FRIDAY INSPIRATION: UNIQUE PLAY NOOKS
It’s Friday and that means we can all breathe a little easier knowing that the weekend is just around the corner. While it means full on kid mode for most of us, it’s also a time that our little ones play in the environment that they usually feel most comfortable; home.
Sometimes, by creating special little nooks or finding a new area to play helps while away the hours a little more easily. These unique spots to add toys either come about for function (there is no other space in the house!) or just for magical fun…either way, here are some of my favourite unique kids nooks that create the dreamiest environments for children’s play.
A Secret Room:
Yes, really! This dreamy little play nook WITH A SKYLIGHT is located behind a bookcase and houses one of the cutest play kitchens of all time.

Playspace Under the Stairs:
It’s really such a great use of space! Add a few of these ice cream decals, and you have a playroom for the littles.

Attic Playspace
Adding skylights to an attic opens the whole space up to so many possibilities. This play area is the perfect place to whittle away house while the sun shines in.

FRIDAY INSPIRATION: CLIMBING WALLS IN KIDS ROOMS
Maybe it’s the weather and we’re all feeling a little house bound, but I am so inspired by climbing walls in kids spaces lately! I have yet to find a client who is game to actually go for this, but how cool are these amazing designs?!!

FRIDAY INSPIRATION: KIDS BATHROOMS!
Happy Friday! This week I felt inspired to share some of my favourite kids bathrooms from around the web. While a dedicated bathroom for children is definitely a luxury, I love these bathrooms for not only their gorgeous aesthetic, but the practicality of them too.
How genius is having a built-in stool under the vanity to pull out for your child? I love this idea to avoid the bulk of a step stool and also how easily it can be tucked away and out of sight.
These extra wide tiles make this small bathroom feel bigger and I love how the animal art and stool turn it into a kids bath while these items can be easily changed as children grow.
I love the rattan mirrors here; they add a nautical theme while still being so pretty and practical!
How sweet are these personalized step stools? These are adorable and would be such an easy DIY!
I'm loving the extra wide sink here and how easy it would be to squeeze two kids on one sink with this feature. Space saving (versus two sinks) and super functional too.
Cheers to the weekend!
HELLO!
WINTER DAISY was created when Melissa Barling was laying on the couch while pregnant with twins. She dreamed of a beautiful baby room but couldn't get up and make it happen. The babies were born and in those mid night wakes and early morning feeds, she decided to leave her corporate job to start a design studio + blog. Welcome to WINTER DAISY.
