How are we already at February?! Wow. Somehow January flew by in a flash and here we are. In Vancouver we’ve already enjoyed a couple of days that feel just-a-little-bit like Spring. THE JULY EDIT: FAVOURITE PICKS OF THE MONTH

July marks the beginning of summer break here in Canada and with the heat wave that we’ve experienced over the past week, that means summer is officially in full swing! We love making the most of the summer sunshine that we get here in Vancouver and this month’s edit is all about our favourite picks for the outdoors and summertime!

At home, we love playing in our backyard after dinner and this bocce ball set is a favourite after dinner family game! We just hung this wooden kids swing on our front cedar tree and the kids wake up and go straight out to swing on it. Our kids’ (yes, all 3!) first bikes were these wishbone bikes and I love that they can start on three wheels and then convert to two. They are truly the perfect first bike!

THE MAY EDIT: FAVOURITE PICKS OF THE MONTH

April showers have definitely delivered the May flowers and walking around the neighbourhood with the kids as the weather warms up is beyond delightful. As we are spending more time outdoors, I wanted to include some of our favourite things for the backyard in this month’s edit and I am dreaming of a few of these gorgeous swing chairs for reading all summer long.

The playhouse below is ready for a similar playhouse makeover to the one we did a few years ago and I assure you it was one of our favourite backyard toys ever! You’ll recognize this slide from our modern basement project and I love that the simple bunk bed converts to two twin beds for different stages of your child’s development!

THE MARCH EDIT: FAVOURITE PICKS OF THE MONTH

With the arrival of March, our kids have been noticing all the bulbs popping out of the soil here in Vancouver and it’s giving me hope that Spring is on its’ way! While I know we are still at least a few weeks away from the real arrival of Spring weather, these picks are good enough to get us through the last of the wintery days.
